Day 1 - Cairns    

Arrive Cairns, considered the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef, is a city in tropical Far North Queensland.

Today’s Options:
Cairns Esplanade, lined with bars and restaurants, has a swimming lagoon. Northwest of the city, Daintree National Park spans mountainous rainforest, gorges and beaches. Check into accommodation.

Day 2 - Cairns

Today is a leisure day to sit back and enjoy the tropical environment of Cairns, rest and relaxation is the plan today. You could swim in lagoons, explore the local shops and cafes or venture out and explore the local beaches. The day is yours to relax and unwind.

Day 3 - Cairns

Today’s Options:
Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park - the ultimate place to experience the rich and ancient cultures unique to Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The music and dance tells the aboriginal cultural stories.

Tjapukai By Day is great for all ages, and can be enjoyed no matter what the weather conditions may be. The parks restaurants, theatres and retail shop are complimented by a wide range of interactive experiences rotating throughout the day. Ranging from dance performances, boomerang and spear throwing, through to art exhibitions - there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Day 4 - Cairns - The Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

Today’s Options:
The Great Barrier Reef
– A Natural Wonder: one of the seven wonders of the natural world, and pulling away from it, and viewing it from a greater distance, you can understand why It is larger than the Great Wall of China and the only living thing on earth visible from space.

One of Australia’s most remarkable natural gifts, the Great Barrier Reef is blessed with the breath-taking beauty of the world’s largest coral reef. The reef contains an abundance of marine life and comprises of over 3000 individual reef systems and coral cays and literally hundreds of picturesque tropical islands with some of the world’s most beautiful sun-soaked, golden beaches. Because of its natural beauty, the Great Barrier Reef has become one of the world’s most sought after tourist destinations. There is an optional activity whereby you can view it from a glass-bottomed boat. (own cost).

Return to Cairns for overnight.

Day 5: Cairns - Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Kuranda Scenic Railway - Cairns

Embark on a fascinating journey over and through the wet tropical rainforest, home to the world’s oldest continually surviving rainforest.

Today’s Options:
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - a multi-award winning attraction that immerses guests in the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. Located in Cairns, Skyrail traverses the ancient rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park within North Queensland’s Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.'

Kuranda Scenic Railway - ​​​​​​​​​​​Imagine all that natural wonder so close that you can almost touch it, your senses alive with the heady organic fragrance and untamed sounds of the dense rainforest. That’s what it’s like aboard Kuranda Scenic Railway as you unwind your way through a tropical paradise framed by rugged mountains with waterfalls tumbling forever into deep ravines. Being one with the rainforest as you undertake an unforgettable journey is what makes Kuranda Scenic Railway such a must-do experience. The Cairns-Kuranda Railway was constructed between 1882 and 1891 and even today is considered an engineering feat of tremendous magnitude.

For now it’s time to say “See you later Mate” (an Australian saying) as we transfer you to Cairns Airport for your domestic flight to your International Airport to check in for your flight home.
