Black Sticks World Cup

Black Sticks Men’s Hockey team are representing New Zealand in the Hockey World cup in Hague. First game was against Korea which saw Steve Edwards score a stunning goal 11 seconds after the first whistle. 

Four minutes out from full time Phil Burrows proved a hero after hitting home the deflection from Kane Russell’s drag flick to ensure the win beating Korea 2-1. 

Black Sticks Men’s captain Dean Couzin’s is pleased with his sides impressive 5 nil win over South Africa. The youngest player of 21 is striker Jared Panchia. 

Over the next few days will see the Black sticks men team play Argentina, Germany and Netherlands The Tour Time team love our Black Sticks and have been watching all the games from both our men and woman. If you are watching the games don’t forget to use the official hashtags.
