The International Jazz Series 2004 Tour celebrated The Rodger Fox Big Band 30 year anniversary. Four top American jazz musicians who appeared with the Rodger Fox Big Band included Michael Brecker, ”acclaimed as the world's greatest living Jazz saxophonist”, Diane Schuur, “Grammy award winning vocalist”, Bill Cunliffe, “Grammy nominated arranger/ pianist” and Jon Papenbrook, “Lead trumpeter extraordinaire”. The presence of these musicians was a major highlight of the tour, and provided a stimulating learning environment for the band and other New Zealand musicians. Rodger Fox is known as New Zealand's top Jazz Trombonist, Bandleader & talented arranger.
