New Zealand Music Tour :: The 2005 National Youth Brass Band

Alexandra Kerwin Guest soloist with the NZ Youth Brass BandThe 2005 National Youth Brass Band convened and formed in Wellington on Sunday 17th April. They had five days of rehearsals and a concert performance at St Andrews on The Terrace,  then travelled to Auckland, the culmination of their course.  Performances were under the baton of well known Conductor, Mr Kenneth Young who along with Mr Kevin Jarrett, MBE, also provided tuition.

Between practices, preparation and performances the Band enjoyed touring and sightseeing around the      City of Sails.                                       Alexandra Kerwin

To commemorate Anzac Day  the Band appeared in concert under Mr Kenneth Young, at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland on 25th April with guest artists Alexandra Kerwin – Soprano Cornet, and Barry Brinson -  the organist who played alongside Alexandra.  Alexandra was great for the Youth Band because she is so young, vibrant and so talented. (An inspiration for our youth!)
