Parents considering allowing their children to participate in a school rugby tour with us should find reassurance in the fact that we are a family business and parents too!

Contact us with any queries or concerns you may have!

We put ourselves into your shoes!

ShoesWe know how apprehensive you are feeling, how you are being pressured by your child or children to give your consent, how nervous you are, how you are being persuaded to hand over your hard earned cash.

We know these feelings well. Our Managing Director, Ron and his wife Beryl are parents and they have been through all of this over many years.

One of their experiences was when their young son, Brent wanted to go overseas with a hockey team. After Brent’s initial request (and pleading for permission) there was much discussion (sometimes even heated discussion) before the consent was given and the saving and fund-raising started.

I can hear parents asking… Was it worth it?  Yes, it was – an absolute and definite Yes!

Brent made some wonderful lifelong friends on this tour and his understanding and awareness of different cultures and people increased tenfold.

What else did he learn?

How to be part of a team and to work together for the benefit of “the team or School"

To develop his individual and team’s skills against international competition

To make friends from other parts of the globe with the same interests as his

To promote his school/team to an international audience

To respect and obey the Tour Leaders and Manager while having awesome fun

To appreciate the culture, customs, sights and activities in a foreign Country

An independence based on older team members whom he liked and respected

An incredible yearning to learn to play as well as some of the other teams' players

How to have an unbelievable time with likeminded students, in another Country, without bending the rules

Brent says - "An unsurpassed experience for which I am always grateful...   Thanks so much, Mum & Dad”

At Tour Time, when we are designing a tour for YOUR school team, YOUR rugby club or young people, we put ourselves into the parents’ shoes.

We pay attention to even the smallest details of how you will want your child to be treated. We know you will appreciate them having the warmth and comfort of home whilst in New Zealand.

We are not great advocates for billeting overnight as we know how nervous our youngsters used to feel about sleeping in a “stranger’s house.”  We prefer to accommodate your children with the teachers/leaders in well known hotels or motor inns where they are all together. We have years of experience with accommodation providers throughout New Zealand and we know which places are excellent for sports/rugby .

Use our experience and expertise!

Some of the small things which typical Tour operators arranging tours for school groups don’t even think about:

  • When staying in Hotels we always ask for Mini-Bars to be removed from rooms
  • We arrange dry cleaning and in particular drying facilities for team sports or Band uniforms
  • We arrange plenty of fun activities like indoor go karting, luging, souvenir shopping
  • Want to keep in touch with your youngsters daily whilst they are in New Zealand and know what they are up to?  Tour Time will show you how!

Play guys your own sizeWe make sure your team play guys their own size and are evenly matched

Can you imagine your Johnny or Suzie touring with their School Rugby team and friends, to one of the safest and most beautiful places in the world, New Zealand?

Tour Time Promise:  we will look after YOUR Johnny or YOUR Suzie as if they were our own family!

Parents: we encourage you to give your consent!
