The exceptional itinerary above is designed specifically for steam rail enthusiasts to enjoy the best of New Zealand. It includes the Labour weekend 24/25/26th October 09 Otago central Vulcan & Steam Celebrations: 130 years since the commencement of the building of the line. Taieri Gorge Railway will run services between Middlemarch and Pukerangi utilising a Vulcan Railcar, Steam locomotive Ab663, Steam locomotive Ab778 and an assortment of heritage rolling stock.
