New Zealand is famous for films like the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring, the Two Towers and the Return of the King, King Kong, and Heavenly Creatures – movies which turned the scenery into a character, and made Peter Jackson a national hero. Other movies made in New Zealand include The Piano, the Last Samurai, River Queen and Avatar.
