Josh Thorpe

After spending most of 2004 and 2005 traveling the globe, living in London, and exploring as many countries and destinations as possible, I returned to my hometown of Hobart, Tasmania, with $50 in my back pocket and the need to find a “job.” Working in travel seemed like the obvious choice back then until I figured out what I wanted to do “when I grew up!”

Twenty years later, after many roles within travel and tourism, combining many of my passions to work in sports tourism is an absolute dream. With over 50 stamps in my passport, 35+ years of playing and coaching football (soccer), and a love for all sports in general, working with Inspiresport  & Tour Time is a fantastic fit, especially given my passion for travel and youth development in sport.

Asking me my favourite destination is like asking me to choose my favourite child. If I had to pick, it would probably be South America. The culture, the food, the diversity of big cities, history, and amazing scenery, plus their love of football, just can’t be beaten! Inspiring the next generation through travel and sport is something I truly align with, and I look forward to making those dreams a reality for so many aspiring athletes!
