Tour Time is a proudly family-founded company, built on a passion for travel, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. What began over three decades ago with a single coach and a bold vision has grown into one of the most trusted and experienced group tour providers across New Zealand and Australia.
From One Coach to a World of Opportunity
Our journey began when Ron and Beryl Imrie took a leap of faith and purchased their first Mitsubishi Fuso coach. Ron brought with him decades of experience in transport, from steam trains to luxury coaches, while Beryl contributed business acumen, creativity, and a fearless willingness to venture into the unknown. She managed the finances, crafted the brand identity, and helped establish the values that still define Tour Time today.
Initially focused on local day trips, a defining moment came in 1996 when Tour Time delivered full transport and accommodation services for Michael Jackson’s HIStory Tour. It was a standout success, proving Tour Time could handle large-scale, high-profile events. From there, the company grew rapidly – coordinating group travel for events like the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the Great China Circus, and tours for international sports teams and performers.
A Family-Driven Business
From the outset, Tour Time has been powered by family. As the business expanded, Beryl and Ron’s children joined the fold. Brent, a commercial pilot with strategic vision, stepped in to help drive the company forward. Sandra, along with her husband Glen, later joined to oversee operations. Together, they built a company grounded in teamwork, adaptability, and genuine care for every client.
Tour Time’s reputation for quality and its motto “Tour Like Never Before” attracted high-profile clients and partnerships. We have delivered services for HRH King Charles, the All Blacks, the Crusaders, NZ Football, and global entertainers from Kylie Minogue and The Rolling Stones to David Beckham’s LA Galaxy, the Harlem Globetrotters, and many more. Our reach extended globally, working with clients throughout South America, the UK, Europe, and North America.
Under Brent’s leadership, Tour Time evolved into a fully licensed and bonded inbound and outbound tour operator, offering comprehensive travel solutions beyond just coach transport.
Growth Through Change
In 2023, Tour Time entered an exciting new chapter when it was acquired by Destination Sport Group / inspiresport, a global leader in group and sports travel. While ownership has changed, the company’s heart remains the same. Brent continues to lead as Managing Director, ensuring that the values of integrity, innovation, and care that built the business remain at the core of everything we do.
Ron and Beryl have now officially stepped back from day-to-day operations, having built a legacy defined by service, adventure, and purpose. Their story lives on in every tour we operate – and in every traveller we inspire.

Today, Tour Time delivers high-quality, tailor-made group travel experiences for schools, clubs, sports teams, performing arts groups, and educational institutions.
