Tour Time delivered a truly enlightening experience for Westlake Boys’ and Westlake Girls’ High Schools, and their three choirs.

After taking out the top trophy in New Zealand’s The Big Sing competition – the largest choral festival in the Southern Hemisphere – we organised a European tour of epic proportions. Hopping between competitions and festivals across Europe – and picking up a fair share of podium finishes along the way – they sang their hearts out alongside university and community choirs from every corner of the world.

The jewel in the crown, however, was the opportunity to sing mass at St Peter’s Basilica, in front of over 2000 parishoners and worshipers. Tour Time orchestrated this once-in-a-lifetime experience alongside our distinguished European contacts and legendary composer David Hamilton – creating an entire mass in Latin to suit the service. The young talent sang like angels and left the locals and the priest in awe. It’s a moment in time that they will never forget – and since then, many of the group have gone onto join choirs in their adult life.
